Our mission

is the collaborative creation of free online content about UNESCO World Heritage, through projects based on :

  • Participatory activities;

  • Use of open platforms and tools,

  • Sharing all content under free licences,

  • Collaboration with local partners in the target countries of our projects.

We are mainly using Wikimedia projects: Wikipedia, and its sister projects (e.g. Wikimedia Commons, the multimedia repository under free licence, and wikidata, the collaborative database).

Why Wikimedia projects?

Using Wikimedia projects allows us to reach billions of people. Wikipedia, for instance, is among the 10 most visited websites worldwide, and its content is multilingual, participatory, evolutive, free and sustainable.

Wikimedia also provides tools for content assessment, visualization, and online activities monitoring.
